Volterra Highlights (1 hr)

The Palazzo dei Priori, the town hall of Volterra, set against a vivid blue sky. With its assymetrical bell tower and battlements, it reminds many of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, but this is the oldest town hall building in Tuscany, erected between 1209 and 1257, and thus was the model used for the later Florentine building (1299).
